Isabel Toledo, a Cuban-born fashion designer who designed Michele Obama’s inauguration outfit, spent this past summer as an artist in residence at Pilchuck together with her artist husband, Ruben. They will be back in the Northwest to chair the 2009 Pilchuck annual auction taking place on October 23.

In celebration, the windows of Nordstrom’s flagship store in Seattle will feature window displays inspired by the Toledo’s work. For more info  on the Pilchuck auction, click here.

Are you aware of any further presentations/participation by the I. and R. Toledo team since their 2009 attendance at the Pilchuk School?
