Awarded an honorable mention at the prestigious 2006 Coburg Glass Prize competition, Julius Weiland will be exhibiting his signature works made using fused laboratory glass tubing in an exhibition at Galerie B in Baden Baden, Germany. Opening August 2 and running through October 15, 2009, the exhibition will feature a range of work by the 38-year-old German artist who also works with neon, plastic tubing, and video.

Beat Wismer, general director of the Museum Kunst Palast in Düsseldorf, described Weiland’s work as having “chaos and order” as its main concern.
